Rami Atassi

Rami Atassi is a musician and teacher based in Chicago. He founded Guitar Tactics in 2021, running group improvisation classes out of his studio.

Through his studio practice, Rami produced over 300 instructional exercises. This is the foundation of his Guitar Tactics curriculum.

Beyond the teaching studio, Rami is an active composer and bandleader. Some highlights include: Dancing Together (2023) released on Ropeadope Records. Best Original Music, 2022 Fine Arts Film Festival. Played guitar on Skylanding (2016), produced by Yoko Ono.

“For Rami Atassi, sonic inspiration extends far beyond the city's borders. He has amassed an eclectic range of influences — desert guitar, jazz, Tropicália, samba, Arabic folk music, and Afrobeat — that populate his music.”
— Joshua M. Miller, Chicago Magazine
